Sorry that I haven’t been updating much lately. I’ve been busy with work. I just can’t wait until next year. Next year, I’ll be free to travel and live the life I’ve always dreamt of.
But I’ve been stocking up on supplies and items to take on my trip around Southeast Asia. And on one of my trips to find supplies, I stumbled upon a particular brand that I find intriguing.
It’s an underwear brand called Nukleus®. I know this is quite a random topic to bring up, but hear me out for a bit.
Nukleus® is a Malaysian brand that specializes in underwear that is made out of organic materials such as organic cotton and bamboo silk. The brand also packages it’s products with FSC certified paper. And as a designer by nature, I have to say that the packaging stands out from the rest of the underwear brands here in Malaysia.
It is also a brand that is committed to the conservation of the environment by channeling part of the sales of their products to WWF-Malaysia’s conservation work.
And It’s also pretty damn comfortable and affordable too. Prices start from RM14.90. I have purchased several of their collections and I have to say, It’s worth every cent. This is one of the products I’ve seen that makes me feel good, Inside and under.
I’ve taken the liberty to attach some pictures of the collections I purchased. For more information, http://www.nukleuswear.com/

This is sort of travel related … If you’re in Cambodia, try to avoid Angkor and pick something else. Like Anchor, Tiger, Beerlao, or the slightly more pricey but much much more delicious Kingdom Beer. Not like Angkor tastes particularly good anyway.
(Angkor is really not giving two shits about their workers, who make $50 a month. Not even willing to give them the $2 overtime on Sundays that the Arbitration Council ordered them to give years ago. And then threatening to fire anyone who strikes. Just nasty.)
I have finally settled on this piece of equipment to take on my travels.

Some of the features include:
- Video recording and photography. Granted it’s not DSLR quality, but as long as it’s clear and has good web quality, it’s perfectly acceptable.
- There are also web browsing features, to update this blog.
- iTunes and iBooks to keep me occupied when i’m traveling in the planes, trains and buses. Also iBooks could read PDF files with information on each country. I’ve been reading up a lot on all the countries.
- Maps to figure out where I am.
I could also take notes to update this blog with.
It’s light and it’s still better than dragging my mac all over the place. And if the iPad gets stolen it’s less painful than the mac being stolen. (the mac holds a lot of personal stuff that I wouldn’t want to fall in the wrong hands). It’s a great space saver.
And I’m pretty sure there are WiFi services in most of these countries, and if not, I could hold off updating this blog for a while until I’m connected again.
On another note, I’m going to tender my resignation by this month and search for a job with more money. I’ve decided I couldn’t get by with the pittance that my current company is paying me, now that I’m single. No matter how much I love it there.
Wish me luck.
I’ve been thinking about what I should take with me on my backpacking adventure.
The thing is when I say backpack, it conjures up images of shabbily dressed, sweaty people struggling to move under the weight of their bags.
I want to paint on my trips, and the thing is, my medium is oils. That tiny detail could be a problem, no matter how fast I am, the painting still needs time to dry. But that’s not the only problem, I still have to drag canvases and paint materials all over the place.

So I was considering buying a second hand DSLR or an iPad 2 (i know, the two things are worlds apart. Let me explain). DSLR, because it’s a proper camera and iPad 2 because it’s lighter and takes decent pictures, videos, connects to the internet and all so on.
I guess I just have to wait and see.
Any opinions?
